Victoria O'Brien, Lead Engineer, Salesforce

Victoria O’Brien is a seasoned leader in retail technology with a passion for mentorship, innovation, and the transformative power of digital solutions. Her career has been rooted in SaaS and business applications, with deep expertise in solution engineering, customer experience, and talent strategy—helping organizations harness technology to drive business transformation and long-term success.
She currently serves as a Senior Manager in Solution Engineering at Salesforce, where she leads a high-performing team supporting the Consumer Goods segment within the Commercial Business. In close partnership with sales leadership, she drives go-to-market strategy and helps clients future-proof their operations through Salesforce's suite of cloud solutions. Prior to her current role, Victoria worked across Small and Medium Business and Enterprise segments, partnering with some of the world’s largest retailers to modernize their technology strategies and fuel meaningful change.
Before joining Salesforce, Victoria was a CX Cloud Analyst at Oracle Consulting, where she implemented Oracle’s suite of customer experience products and led talent strategy initiatives focused on employee retention, hiring excellence, and workforce development.
Victoria’s leadership philosophy is centered on purpose-driven impact—believing that while a career is what you're paid for, a calling is what you're made for. She advocates for shifting from a job mindset to a mission mindset, a principle she embodies through mentorship and community engagement. She has mentored early-career and transitioning professionals through the PreSales Collective and served as a subject matter expert for its Academy program, helping demystify careers in tech and pre-sales for people from all backgrounds.
Victoria is also an active advocate for women in tech, having served as Vice President of Salesforce’s Women in Solution Engineering (WISE), a global equality resource group focused on increasing diversity, fostering inclusive leadership, and elevating business impact through community.
Currently pursuing her MBA at NYU Stern School of Business, Victoria continues to deepen her expertise in business strategy and leadership. As part of her studies, she will be traveling to Milan for a global course in Luxury & Retail Branding. She recently served as a "Professor for the Day" sharing insights on the role of technology in the future of retail.
A recognized industry thought leader, Victoria has spoken at events including Dreamforce, Salesforce World Tours, and the National Retail Federation’s Big Show, sharing perspectives on digital transformation, customer engagement, and the evolving retail landscape.
As a member of the Retail Advisory Board at the University of South Carolina’s College of Hospitality, Retail, and Sport Management, Victoria is committed to giving back—mentoring future leaders and helping shape the next generation of retail professionals with a focus on both innovation and purpose
