A Year After the Texas Floods: Disaster Relief with Baldwin & Co. Foundation
After a disaster, recovery takes time. Delivering Good is committed to long-term relief efforts that stay involved in the communities affected by disasters. A year after the Texas floods, we continued to partner with Baldwin & Co. Foundation to support families and individuals in Kerr County, Texas, where flooding of the Guadalupe River devastated communities in the surrounding areas. People's homes and belongings were damaged or destroyed, and over 130 people died. Sustained support and relief efforts are crucial to those who have lost so much and are trying to rebuild their lives.
In response to the floods, DG secured donations of clothing, shoes, bedding, furniture, household goods, and kitchen appliances like microwaves and air fryers. Baldwin & Co. Foundation, alongside several of their community partners distributed these items to more than 1,200 people in Kerr County, including approximately 350-400 families.
One person who attended one of the distributions said,
"What touched me the most wasn't just the number of people we served, it was watching neighbors help neighbors. Parents found clothing for their children, seniors received items that will make everyday life a little easier, and families were able to furnish their homes with dignity."
Delivering Good extends heartfelt gratitude to Baldwin & Co. Foundation for their incredibly impactful partnership and their ability to provide support for families and individuals in Texas.
