Carey Ann Campbell, CEO, Southern Tide

Carey Ann Campbell is a native of Beaufort, South Carolina, and a graduate of the College of Charleston, where she earned a degree in English and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She began her retail career in store leadership roles at Belk and Macy’s, gaining firsthand experience in customer engagement, team development, and operational excellence.
In 2020, she joined Southern Tide as Vice President of Direct to Consumer and was named Interim CEO in 2021. She officially became CEO in 2022. Under her leadership, Southern Tide has expanded its retail footprint, strengthened its e-commerce and omnichannel capabilities, and deepened brand relevance across both wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels.
Campbell serves on the University of South Carolina’s Retailing Executive Advisory Board and is actively involved with the United States Tennis Association (USTA). Passionate about community and the arts, she also serves on the boards of the Greenville Sports Foundation and the Metropolitan Arts Council and is President of the Upstate College of Charleston Alumni Association. She is a member of the Junior League of Greenville.
