Three Stories From the Heart: The People We're Helping
This past May, First American Harvest, a community partner in Arizona, shared three stories with us. These stories are examples of how in life’s most difficult moments, clothing and other essential items can bring comfort and stability – and be one less thing to worry about. We are deeply grateful that our partnership with First American Harvest was able to help these families, and we would like to thank Micah, Nazareth, and Sonia for sharing their stories with us.
A Note From Micah
To everyone at Delivering Good, Catalyst Clothing, and Drew at First American Harvest,
I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m currently 2 years sober and working every day to rebuild my life and become the father my daughter deserves. It hasn’t been easy. I’m currently working a hard labor job just trying to get by, and with how expensive everything is right now, buying new clothes for my daughter and myself has honestly felt impossible at times.
Because of your donation of Lucky clothing, I was able to put together an entire wardrobe for both of us. I can’t even put into words what that means to me. These are clothes I never could have afforded on my own, and being able to give Penelope brand new high quality clothing brought tears to my eyes.
Seeing her smile and feel good about what she’s wearing means more to me than I could ever express. As a father, these moments matter deeply. You didn’t just provide clothing, you gave us confidence and hope during a time we truly needed it.
Thank you Delivering Good and Catalyst Clothing for your generosity and compassion. And thank you to Drew and First American Harvest for making sure families like mine are seen, cared for, and supported. Your kindness is making a real difference in people’s lives, and I am living proof of that.
With sincere gratitude,
Micah Dumdei
A Note From Nazareth
Hello everyone,
I would like to take a moment and sincerely thank Delivering Good and Catalyst Clothing for all the donations and help that you have provided for my family and me.
As a single mother and a widow with 5 babies, you have no idea what all your help means to me and the impact it has had on our lives. Without the support of Delivering Good and Catalyst Clothing, my children would not have new wardrobes for school, diapers, food, and home essentials. I cannot thank your organizations enough for treating each one of us with so much dignity, respect, love, and compassion.
I lost my home after my husband’s death, and I had to leave my job to care for our 5 young children. Your organizations have changed my life and the lives of my children in such a positive way. You provided clothing, shoes, hats, a luxury purse, diapers, food, toys, and home goods that I could never afford on my own. Thank you for all that you do for the community and for families like mine.
God bless you all,
Nazareth Alvarez
A Note From Sonia
Dear Delivering Good,
I would like to take a moment and thank you for the kindness and support you have shown my family through your clothing and diaper donations. What may seem like a simple necessity to some has been an incredible blessing to us during a time when we truly needed help. Being a parent comes with so much responsibility, and there are moments when the stress and worry can feel overwhelming. Your generosity has taken a huge weight off my shoulders and brought comfort during difficult times. Knowing there are people and organizations like yours who genuinely care about families in our community means more to me than words can fully express, Thanks to your help I have been able to focus more on caring for my child instead of constantly worrying about how I would afford basic essentials. Your compassion, generosity, and willingness to help others make a real difference in my life and other people’s life’s .. Please know that your support has not gone unnoticed, and I will always be grateful for the kindness you have shown my family. Thank you for making us feel supported, cared for, and not alone.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Sonia Guzman
