As the Women of Impact Summit is around the corner, we got the opportunity to sit down with Barbara Wagner, Brand President at Talbots. Barbara shared advice about finding a path to impact, what it means to make a difference with the fashion industry, and what excites her about this year's Summit. 

What advice would you give to someone working to find their path to impact?

I think it’s so important to do something that really aligns with your personal values and mission. So if you don’t know what that is yet – that’s okay. Be curious and try things. Pay attention to what energizes you and where you feel like you’re helping others. I would also say be patient. This work often isn’t a perfect path. It is likely to evolve as you grow into your impact.

Why do you believe supporting organizations like Delivering Good is important?

I think we have a unique responsibility to be part of a solution to make a difference in people’s everyday lives. Delivering Good allows us to extend the life and purpose of clothing in a way that serves communities, reduces waste and makes a positive impact beyond our business.

What excites you most about participating in this year’s Women of Impact Summit?

What excites me most is the opportunity to be a part of a community of women who are not only leading in their fields but are committed to using their platforms to create meaningful change. I’m looking forward to inspiring conversations about leadership, purpose, and impact. And there is something incredibly powerful about learning from one another’s experiences and perspectives - it's really energizing to me.
