#DGSpotlight: Prithvik Kankappa

This month, we are proud to spotlight Prithvik Kankappa, Chief Operating Officer at Impact Analytics! Prithvik joined our Board of Directors earlier this year, and we got the chance to talk to him about how his work connects with giving back, a distribution event that he attended, and what excites him most about Delivering Good’s future.

What inspired you to get involved with Delivering Good and support its mission of providing new essentials to people facing hardship and disaster?

I’ve always believed that the most meaningful innovation occurs when technology meets human need. Delivering Good’s mission stands out to me because it addresses a fundamental reality: people facing hardship don’t just need help; they need the dignity that comes with receiving new, high-quality items. Seeing an organization that works to restore that sense of worth and agency through reliable, consistent support was incredibly compelling, and I knew I wanted to contribute to that work.

At Impact Analytics, your work is centered around innovation and creating meaningful change. How does that purpose-driven mindset connect with your involvement in philanthropy and giving back?

At Impact Analytics, we focus on using data and innovation to solve complex problems and drive efficiency. To me, philanthropy is the ultimate form of that mission - it's about applying resources where they create the most human-centric value. Whether it’s in the boardroom or at a distribution event, the goal remains the same: identify where there is a gap, leverage the right tools to bridge it, and ensure the solution is sustainable and impactful.

You recently volunteered with Delivering Good at a distribution event with our community partner, Giving Friends. What was that experience like for you, and what stood out most about seeing the impact firsthand?

The aspects that stood out to me were the sense of community, the delight on the kids' faces, the happiness on the parents' faces, and the partners' commitment to the cause. The event was an amazing firsthand experience of seeing the impact and response of giving "new product" versus hand-me-downs. It felt less like a charity event and more like a community gathering, which made the experience richer.

As a member of Delivering Good's Board, how do you hope to help grow the organization's impact and reach in the years ahead?

My focus is on helping the organization scale its impact in a way that remains deeply personal. I hope to leverage my background in operations and strategic growth to help us optimize how we match donations with the communities that need them most. By continuing to build a data-driven framework, we can make our processes more efficient, allowing the Delivering Good team to focus even more on the relationships and the human stories that make this work so powerful.

Looking ahead, what excites you most about the future of Delivering Good and the difference it can make for people and families across the country?

I am most excited about the shift toward "Dignity-driven giving." We are moving toward a future where support isn't just transactional but transformative - where every item provided is a tangible symbol of respect. Seeing how we can evolve this model to empower more families to rise above hardship with not just essentials, but with the hope and opportunity that come from feeling seen and supported, is incredibly energizing. We are in a unique position to set a new standard for how charitable organizations operate, using data and community insight to be more responsive to crises before they escalate. It’s an ambitious goal, but given the passion of the team and the strength of our partners, I know we’re going to be able to help so many more families get back on their feet.
