#DG Spotlight: Daniella Lippert
This month, we’re spotlighting Daniella Lippert, Community & Philanthropy Senior Director at KnitWell Group. In this article, we spoke to Daniella about her experience leading charitable initiatives, how her work connects with DG’s mission, and the upcoming Women of Impact Summit.
What first drew you to Delivering Good, and how does that connect to the kind of impact-driven work you’ve built throughout your career?
What first drew me to Delivering Good was how tangible the impact is. At the end of the day, it’s about helping people feel supported during difficult moments in their lives in a very real, human way. At KnitWell Group, we focus on Uniting our Brands and People for Good, and being able to engage our associates in the work and communities along with our business is the synergy I think where successful impact work really thrives.
You’ve led community and philanthropy initiatives at KnitWell Group and previously managed global CSR and volunteer programs. How has that experience shaped the way you think about Delivering Good’s model of providing new essentials, especially in moments of crisis?
One thing I’ve learned through this work is that small acts of support can make a huge difference, especially during moments of uncertainty or crisis. Something as simple as receiving new clothing can help someone feel more confident, more comfortable, and more seen. I’ve also seen how important community and partnership are when responding to people’s needs quickly and thoughtfully. What I really appreciate about Delivering Good is that the work feels personal. It’s not just about products, it’s about helping people move forward with a little more dignity and confidence.
Much of your work has focused on scaling engagement, from volunteer programs to cause campaigns. Where do you see the biggest opportunity for innovation in how companies like KnitWell partner with Delivering Good to reach more people, more quickly?
I think people today really want to feel connected to something bigger than themselves, especially at work. The biggest opportunity is finding more authentic ways to bring employees, customers, and communities into the impact journey together. Whether that’s through volunteering, storytelling, donations, or community partnerships, those moments of connection matter. I also think there’s a huge opportunity for companies to share knowledge, resources, and networks more openly so we can move faster and support more people collectively.
Supporting and empowering women is central to many KnitWell initiatives. How do you see Delivering Good’s work—particularly providing new apparel—helping restore confidence, dignity, and opportunity for women and families?
Clothing is deeply personal. When someone is going through a difficult time, having something new that helps them feel confident and cared for can have a real emotional impact. It’s not just about the item itself, it’s about helping people feel like themselves again. For women and families especially, that sense of confidence and dignity can help create momentum and open doors to new opportunities, whether that’s going to a job interview, rebuilding stability, or simply feeling supported by their community.
As KnitWell steps into the role of presenting sponsor this year, how does participating in the Women of Impact Summit reflect your broader commitment to purpose-driven leadership, and what do you hope attendees walk away with?
For me, the Women of Impact Summit is really about community and supporting one. We all benefit when people share knowledge, create opportunities, and help bring others along with them. I hope attendees walk away feeling inspired, but also by the reminder that we all have the ability to help open doors for others and create stronger paths for the next generation of leaders.
