Amplifying Voices: How The Ally Coalition Uses Music and Allyship to Support LGBTQ+ Youth

February 12, 2025 |

We’re proud to highlight our partnership with The Ally Coalition (TAC), an organization dedicated to supporting LGBTQ youth. Founded in 2013 by songwriter/producer Jack Antonoff and designer Rachel Antonoff, TAC works to raise awareness of local resources and organizations while promoting the importance of inclusive, supportive environments. Together, Delivering Good and TAC are making a meaningful impact in the lives of LGBTQ youth by connecting them with essential resources and fostering communities where they can thrive.

We had the opportunity to connect with The Ally Coalition to learn more about their mission and impact. Here’s what they shared:

How does The Ally Coalition use music and the power of allyship to mobilize fans and fight discrimination against LGBTQ youth?

The Ally Coalition is extremely fortunate to work with artists and brands who are incredibly passionate about bettering the lives of the LGBTQ community. A big piece of our work is touring with musicians and bringing out local organizations to each show stop where fans can engage and learn more about the resources available in their communities, and how they can better support their local LGBTQ centers and loved ones.

Additionally, The Ally Coalition hosts our own events throughout the year including our Annual Talent Show and Day of Services which brings together medical + direct service organizations, a clothing closet with brand new items, hot meals, haircuts, acupuncture, and more, to provide a safe and welcoming space for the youth where they can receive lifesaving resources under one roof that they may not otherwise have access to.

How can partnering with Delivering Good amplify The Ally Coalition’s efforts to support LGBTQ youth, especially in the areas of women’s empowerment and LGBTQ homelessness?

By partnering with Delivering Good, The Ally Coalition can ensure that LGBTQ youth, especially those experiencing homelessness, have access to critical resources, like brand new clothing, helping them meet their basic needs and feel a sense of dignity and comfort. Your extensive network of nonprofit partners also allows us to reach more LGBTQ youth in need, particularly in underserved areas, and provide them with the support and resources they require.

By collaborating with Delivering Good, TAC can also enhance our programs aimed at women’s empowerment, providing additional resources and support to LGBTQ women and girls, helping them build resilience and achieve their full potential.

Through this partnership, Delivering Good and TAC can ensure that LGBTQ youth remain well-supported, not only during the holiday season, but all year round.

What opportunities do you see for Delivering Good and The Ally Coalition to work together in the new year to make an even greater impact?

This past holiday season, we had the incredible opportunity of working with Delivering Good on our 3rd annual Day of Services to provide brand new clothing and essential items to the LGBTQ community of New York City. Hosted at the LGBT Center in the historic West Village, we were able to support more than 160 youth throughout the day with hot meals, medical and direct services, haircuts, acupuncture, HIV & STI testing, and a sense of community.

In the year to come, we have the opportunity to build more of these events in communities across the country with our LGBTQ partners and the amazing resources of Delivering Good. Especially seeing the devastation in LA from the wildfires, TAC would be honored to work with Delivering Good to support California’s most affected and underserved populations rebuild and continue our mission of funding the vital work of LGBTQ Community Centers.

The work we do would not be possible without the support of the artists we work with, the communities that welcome us, and the partnerships that allow us to provide these lifesaving resources to a community that is too often overlooked. We cannot thank Delivering Good enough for your passion and dedication in helping us support this incredible community, and creating a lasting and meaningful change in the lives of these youth.

We would like to thank The Ally Coalition for their dedication and commitment to their cause, and for collaborating with us for their Day of Services. Partnerships like these allow vital support and resources to find those who need it most.
