Hedieh Fakhriyazdi, Chief Engagement and Development Officer, White & Case, LLP

Hedieh Fakhriyazdi is the Chief Engagement and Development Officer at White
& Case where she leads initiatives that strengthen the experience of working at
the Firm, with a focus on professional skills training and engagement for our non-partner lawyers and business services professionals. She oversees the design
and delivery of integrated learning, coaching, mentoring and career development
initiatives that enhance individual performance and support meaningful, long-term careers at White & Case.
Hedieh previously held several senior positions at another international law firm
as Head of the Social Responsibility and Charitable Foundation function and in
Diversity and Inclusion. Prior to her career in the legal industry, Hedieh worked
at Bloomberg LP, where she led programs and strategy for a variety of ESG
functions, including in HR and diversity and inclusion, employee engagement,
and corporate philanthropy. Hedieh started her career in the nonprofit space
working with survivors of gender-based violence.
She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the United Way
of New York City where she sits on its Executive Committee, Nominating
Committee, and is Co-Chair of the organization's Community Impact and Public
Policy Committee. Hedieh is a member of the Executive Advisory Board for the
Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship (BCCCC) and is Chair of the
BCCCC Inclusion, Opportunity and Workforce Engagement Advisory Board. She
also serves as Co-Chair of the Iranian American Women's Foundation New York
Chapter.
Hedieh also serves as Adjunct Associate Professor of Public Service at New
York University's Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. In 2021, she
received the Innovation Award from the New York Law Journal
