Sweetening the Moment: Elly Ross on Leading with Joy and Purpose

At just 23 years old, Elly Ross co-founded lil sweet treat, a brand built on joy, connection, and the power of small gestures. Her mission? To make life’s moments—big or small—a little sweeter. As a purpose-driven entrepreneur and bold young leader, Elly is redefining what it means to build community through business. We spoke with her about what impact means to her, why authenticity matters, and why supporting women and organizations like Delivering Good is so important.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in their career or looking to find their path?

My advice would be: Be proud and authentic in your passions and the unique qualities you bring to the table. Embrace the unknown and continue to work towards what you believe in.

How do you define impact in your work and leadership?

The way I define impact is the ability to create community, as that is what makes lil sweet treat special. From building an incredibly mission-oriented team to spread as much joy and happiness possible, to making the happiest days even sweeter or uplifting the sadder days, the connections we create through lil sweet treat is what’s the most important to me.

Why do you believe supporting organizations like Delivering Good is important?

Organization like Delivering Good create community, and this community in particular uplifts other women, celebrates the positive impacts you can make, and spurs innovation.
