Reflections on Our Visit to LA: Providing Critical Relief to People in Need

March 3, 2025 | By Matthew Fasciano
Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Los Angeles and witness firsthand the incredible impact that Delivering Good and our partners are making in communities affected by wildfires and economic hardship. I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our visit and express my deep gratitude for the growing support that allows us to provide critical relief to families in need.
Over the course of two days, we met with our remarkable community partners working on the front lines to support individuals facing both immediate and long-term challenges. The effects of the wildfires extend beyond the loss of homes—many people who relied on jobs in these devastated areas, from gardeners to hotel workers, now find themselves without income, adding another layer of difficulty. These visits reinforced the essential role that Delivering Good and our partnerships play in providing not just resources, but also hope and stability during uncertain times. Thanks to the generosity of our brand partners, we have already secured over $14 million worth of merchandise—more than 800,000 units—to support these communities, and our efforts continue.
We were able to document much of our time in LA, capturing powerful moments that highlight the impact of our collective work. Here’s a look at some of the organizations we visited and the incredible work being done:
Thursday, February 27
Epidaurus Amity Foundation of California We began our day at Epidaurus Amity Foundation, where a shopping area had been set up with donations from Aldo, Brooks Brothers, Madewell, Ralph Lauren, and other generous partners. Students and staff selected essential items, and we heard directly from leadership about ongoing wildfire relief efforts. We also conducted a video interview to share how our partnership is making a tangible difference.
Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP) At CCNP, we met with Diana Alfaro and Sandra Bonneville, who help distribute donations from Centric Brands, Eddie Bauer, G-III Apparel, J.Crew, and more. Their team emphasized the urgent needs of the families they serve and how product donations fill critical gaps. We captured compelling footage showcasing their work and the ongoing demand for support.
Dream Center / World Vision Our final stop of the day was at Dream Center and World Vision, where we toured their facilities and participated in a distribution event. Families received clothing, hygiene products, and other essentials provided through our partnerships, including Greenberry Eco Group, Steve Madden, and PVH Corp. Witnessing the direct impact of these donations was a powerful reminder of why we do this work.
Friday, February 28
Foothill Unity Center We joined the Foothill Unity Center team for their morning huddle before assisting with a distribution event. Volunteers provided hygiene products, food, toys, and clothing—including donations from Brooklinen, Patagonia, and Madewell. This center takes a holistic approach to supporting families, ensuring they receive multi-layered assistance.
Shelter Partnership At Shelter Partnership, we observed a special distribution event where families accessed essential resources to rebuild their lives. Donations from Aldo, Gerber Childrenswear, and Outerstuff LLC helped provide relief to those in need. Given the event setting, we ensured permission was granted before filming.
Heart of Compassion Our final stop was at Heart of Compassion, where we met with Christina Sandoval to discuss their work. They will soon receive a significant donation of Ralph Lauren Home Goods to aid in wildfire recovery efforts.
We also visited Altadena, where the devastation from the wildfires was truly staggering. Seeing the destruction up close reinforced the urgent need for continued support. We filmed our visit to document the scale of the disaster and emphasize why our work must continue.
Looking Ahead
These visits were a powerful reminder of why Delivering Good exists: to bring comfort, dignity, and hope to those who need it most. Through our incredible network of brand partners and community organizations, we are able to provide more than just material goods—we are helping people rebuild their lives.
To those who have supported our mission, thank you. Your generosity makes all the difference. And to those who want to get involved, I encourage you to join us in this work. Together, we can continue delivering good and transforming lives.
