Delivering Good

A Chat with Lisa Pisano

At Delivering Good, we believe in the power of new merchandise to transform lives. Today, we’re excited to share insights from one of our newest board members, Lisa Pisano, Chief Revenue Officer at Knitwell Group. Lisa is a retail fashion executive skilled in driving revenue and profit with a customer-first approach. In this interview, she offers a unique perspective on Delivering Good’s mission and the impact we strive to make. We are excited to welcome Lisa to our Delivering Good board and look forward to all that we can do together.

Q1: What do you feel makes Delivering Good unique compared to other charitable organizations, and why do you believe in our mission to provide new merchandise to those in need?

What makes Delivering Good unique is 100% the fact that we provide new merchandise to those in need. In our mission, we talk about offering hope, dignity, and self-esteem. Being able to open a package or take the tag off of something and know that it is uniquely yours makes a world of difference. It plays a critical role in raising the confidence of the children, families, and individuals that Delivering Good serves.

Q2: Can you share a personal story that highlights your passion for helping others, and how you hope to make a difference as a board member of Delivering Good?

At my core, my purpose is to give back, particularly to lift up and support women. My mother is an immigrant, and I watched her navigate life without a mentor or role model. She had grit, drive, passion, and a ‘no limits’ attitude that I have always admired and hopefully emulate. But I often wonder how my mother’s life might have been different if she had a mentor.

I have been so fortunate to have many mentors and guides throughout my life and career – my mother being one of them. As my own professional career and influence have grown, I feel a responsibility to pay it forward. I want to be a positive role model, mentor, and support system. This is especially important to me as the mother of a daughter. I want her to know that it’s not enough to be successful. You have to do good and give back to others. Being a part of the Delivering Good board provides a perfect platform to do just that.

Q3: Delivering Good helps transform the lives of people in poverty, those recovering after a disaster, re-entering the workforce, and more through new product donations in order to provide hope and dignity. What excites you the most about giving back through Delivering Good?

Being kind and supporting others can show up every day and in every interaction. That’s how I try to live my life, and I see how small acts of kindness can add up. Through Delivering Good, as a member of the board, I see the opportunity to make an even bigger impact, to support more women and others in need. I am excited to see how I can leverage my role at KnitWell Group and in the industry to do my part to pay it forward to others through this incredible organization.

At Delivering Good, we are driven by the belief that new merchandise can bring hope, dignity, and confidence to those in need. Our board members, like Lisa, are integral to this mission, using their personal and professional experiences to amplify our impact. Together, we are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and communities across the globe.
