Delivering Good

2021

Impact

Report

For 36 years Delivering Good has been offering companies a sustainable solution for their excess inventory, putting it into the hands of people who need it rather than into landfills. In 2021, faced with a surplus of merchandise due to supply chain disruptions and shipping delays, more than 220 companies turned their excess inventory, valued at $229 million, into relief for individuals and families by donating to Delivering Good.

As people across the US struggled with increased poverty, illness, job loss, and other challenges, Delivering Good responded by connecting more than 23 million units of donated new merchandise with our network of over 800 community partners – more than double the amount of product donated annually pre-pandemic.

2021 also brought hope for a return to normalcy and while our Spring Luncheon was converted into a virtual roundtable discussion, we were finally able to gather with 400 guests at the Ziegfeld Ballroom to celebrate our annual gala in October, raising more than $1.3 million in critical funds to support our work.

If the last couple of years have taught us anything it’s that good can come from even the most challenging circumstances. The nimbleness of our distribution model, the generosity of our product and financial donors, and the reach provided by our nationwide network of community partners allowed us to do more than we ever thought possible for the people we serve. While we may continue to live in uncertain times, we know that we have the resiliency and resourcefulness to step up to any challenge as we work to create a more equitable world for everyone.

Providing

Sustainable

Solutions

Our work would not be possible without the generous brand partners that choose to do good with their excess product. In 2021, over 220 companies donated more than 23 million new items, helping to fill the homes of our less fortunate neighbors with comfort, hope, and stability.

Delivering Good is proud to offer the retail and manufacturing industries with a sustainable solution for their excess inventories that not only lessens their environmental footprint but helps address a range of social issues including poverty, homelessness, disaster recovery, workforce re-entry, foster care support, and more.

DELIVERING GOOD

Solutions

Delivering Good was founded to provide relief and comfort for individuals and families dealing with poverty or disaster by connecting them with new merchandise that helps them strengthen and rebuild their lives. Thirty-six years later, we have provided more than $2.5 billion in new products, not only providing relief for families, but helping companies reduce their environmental impact by redirecting excess product from landfills into the hands of people who need it.

With our nationwide network of more than 800 community partners, we are able to work with companies to meet their specific Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals whether they are location-based, related to a particular issue, or focused on serving a specific demographic group.

Events

Delivering Good holds two events each year that raise critical funds and celebrate the people and industries that make our work possible.

Women of Inspiration

Luncheon

In 2021 because of the pandemic, we converted our annual Women of Inspiration Luncheon into a three-day virtual Women of Inspiration Roundtable series where speakers and panelists shared experiences and lessons about the success of women in business, academics, government, and public service, as well as the impact of gender in the charitable giving space.

The event, which was virtually attended by 500 people, raised $200,000 in support of Delivering Good’s work.
